Dr. Yousef Hamed Al-Yaqout is an assistant professor of pleading and arbitration law at the Faculty of Law at Kuwait University. He holds a doctorate from the University of Lorraine in the French city of Nancy, and a master’s degree in private law with depth from the University of Strasbourg and a master’s in private law from the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Kuwait University.

Dr. Yousef is a certified arbitrator and legal advisor. He has participated in many local and international workshops and conferences. He is a trainer in the qualification and preparation programs for arbitrators of the Commercial Arbitration Center for the Gulf Cooperation Council States and the Kuwait Center for Commercial Arbitration. He has conducted many legal courses in the field of dispute resolution and corporate law, electronic transactions and others.

Dr. Yousef has many articles and scientific research published in local and international legal journals. He also supervised master’s theses for postgraduate students, and participated in the membership of many governmental and private committees related to academic affairs, development of regulations and procedural laws, investigation committees and others.
